Excellent job, Kirk Johnson! You disclosed the fundamental error in the NYT man-on-the-street pieces - You said, "Most of the people interviewed in a day's snapshot of middle-aged opinion - one morning, one city and the chance encounters of a reporter and photographer"
And it didn't seem unduly rigid of the NYT line either.
Geez, Mr Johnson's byline will lead me to read the next MOTS, which I had stopped doing quite awhile ago.
